SMALL LIFECASTINGS are usually done of hands and feet or even a baby's bottom. This method is quick and requires little preparation. For babies there is no deciding on a pose. That makes it even more exciting to see the unique position your baby chose to display. For older children, adults and wedding hands, choosing a position is desirable. A fast setting seaweed based mold is poured into a container. The hand is placed into the yogurt-like substance. In a short while it has turned into a flexible rubber like gel. The hand is removed and the mold is now ready to be poured. It will be ready in two to three weeks depending on how much work it needs, if you want copies, what type of mounting you like and what type of finish you desire.
